Indications and Uses

Ginkgo biloba is used for cerebral insufficiency and Alzheimer's disease. It also is used for peripheral vascular insufficiency.

Ginkgo has been studied as a possible treatment for dementia and Alzheimer's disease, with mixed results. Some reviews have concluded there is no good evidence supporting the use of Ginkgo in dementia, whereas others have conluded that the EGB761 extract may help patients with dementia.
